Cathay Pacific Sun Hung Kai Financial Hong Kong Squash Open 2014

4 Finalists have showcased two unbelievable great squash in front of the crowd at the brand new glass court. More than 700 audiences also witnessed the triumph of Nicol David and Mohamed Elshorbagy.

The Men's Final comes before the Women's. Elshorbagy appeared in his first final and eventually won his ever first title in the glass court against the world No. 1 Gregory Gaultier at the Hong Kong Open. The battle between the first two seeds were in a dramatic climax when Gaultier came back in the third and fourth at 11-4 and 1108 after being led by Mohamed Elshorbagy in the first two at 11-9 and 11-2. Elshorbagy has shown his determination in the fifth and pull away Gaultier at 11-4 to claim his second title in a week.

The final between Nicol David and Nour El Tayeb is fierce as expected; though Nicol took the first set at 11-4, Tayeb has pushed her very hard in the second which led Nicol to narrowly win at a tie –break at 12-10. However, the well experienced Nicol managed to hold her strength until the last to finish the game at 11-8. Nicol David extends her winning run in Hong Kong to claim her 9th successive Champion title. "It feels really great to win another title in Hong Kong!" said delighted Nicol.
